Quick Everyday Method (as per pack)

• Pour contents into a pan. Add 200 ml water and salt to taste.

• Bring to a boil, then simmer ~10 min on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fully hot and steaming.

• Serve with naan, rice or parathas.

Chef’s Tempered “Tadka” Method

• Heat 1 tbsp oil in a small pan. Add whole spices (e.g., cumin, dried chilli) and cook for about 20 seconds.

• Add the lentils from the pouch plus 200 ml water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until piping hot and creamy.

• Serves 2–3 with naans, rice or parathas. Also great as a side with one of our Indian cooking sauces.

*Percentage refers to raw lentils. Lentils naturally absorb water and increase in weight during cooking.
